Books are in great condition!! Slipcase has very minor wear outside and some rubbing marks inside.

Bound in burgundy leather, the books have ivory moire silk end leaves, satin book markers, acid-free paper, Symth-sewn binding, hubbed spine, and gold gilding on three edges. The paper used for these two volumes is an 80 lb. text which matches identically the color, texture, and opacity of the paper used in the Octavo editions printed more than 120 years ago. 319 pages in Quadrupeds and 287 pages in Selected Birds.
